Little sashimi suggestion. Wasabi goes well with soy sauce, but before you dip it, squeeze some lemon on the meat. It probably the way of handling that made you guys sick. Japanese people prepare the sashimi, first wash, scale and wash, then clean knife and chopping board, fillet and skin, then paper towel dry surface of the meat and clean knife and board, then slice accordingly and serve.

I´m 100% ignorant about fishing but i truly enjoy these videos ..... but there is something that i dont quite understand ... is there a reason why they release the fishes they catch?

The team only takes what they need. It helps keep the population healthy without depleting it.

Hey Big Dawg, ppl aren't supposed to eat sashimi from freshly caught fish. Sashimi fish come frozen and that freezing process kills all the bacteria.
Look at the fish in the tsujiki fish market in Japan. All the tuna are frozen. Chefs say sashimi tastes better after it is aged a few days anyway

could someone explain something to me? pardon my ignorance, and i'd like to preface this with the fact that ive never gone fishing before, so i just dont understand i guess. But i think i understand that the idea of catch and release is kind of like sport fishing and also aids in the conservation aspect? but it looks like when the fish is caught, that the hook does some damage to the jaw of the fish? like does it not hurt them? and if it does hurt them, then why would you wanna hurt them just to release them again?

If you have a really long fight with a Tuna you can get what they call burn where it ruins the meat because their temperature rises so much during the fight
